Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba has debunked involvement of Faze in a rancor that involved him and Blackfaze.
Speaking to fans during his performance at the Made in Benue Festival in Makurdi, 2Baba stressed that Faze has remained neutral and is not involved in the long-standing feud between him and Blackface.
The music icon explained that although Plantashun Boiz was originally made up of himself, Blackface, and Faze, current circumstances have kept Blackface away from the group’s activities.
According to 2Baba, the personal disagreement between him and Blackface has no bearing on his relationship with Faze, who joined him on stage to represent the legendary trio.
“Plantashun Boiz consisted of Blackface, 2Face, and Faze. Due to certain circumstances, Blackface is not here with us. But regardless of whatever issues exist between me and Blackface, Faze has nothing to do with it,” he told the cheering crowd.
He added that their appearance together was a clear sign of unity and respect, noting that Faze’s presence was purely to honor the legacy of Plantashun Boiz.
The feud between 2Baba and Blackface has spanned several years, with Blackface accusing his former bandmate of intellectual property theft—claims that 2Baba has consistently denied.
