Afrobeats singer Daniel Etiese Benson, popularly known as Bnxn, has issued a public apology to fans following the entry challenges that disrupted his ‘The Captain Experience’ concert held in Lagos on December 19, 2025.
The concert, which was part of the Iconiq Fest at the Landmark Event Centre, featured live performances, guest appearances, and high-energy moments. However, the event was overshadowed by organisational issues that reportedly prevented several fans with valid tickets from gaining access to the venue.
Reacting to the incident, Bnxn expressed disappointment over the situation, stating that the safety and experience of fans should never be compromised.
“The show organisers prioritised profit over the safety of the fans, and it should never have been so,” the singer said. “I am so sorry to everyone who had valid entries and still couldn’t make it into the show.”
The artiste further emphasised that he would never intentionally place his fans or music lovers in harm’s way or subject them to uncomfortable conditions.
“I’d never want to put anyone that loves me or my music in that kind of reckless position, and I sincerely apologise,” he added.
The apology has since sparked conversations online, with fans calling for better event planning and crowd management at major music concerts in Nigeria.
