Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has clarified her relationship status following her separation from estranged husband, music star 2Face Idibia.
The actress stated that she does not see herself as a single mother, but rather as a single woman raising two children.
Taking to her Instagram page, Annie wrote: “I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids.”
Her comment comes months after 2Face publicly announced in January 2025 that their marriage was over and that divorce proceedings had begun.
The singer disclosed that the relationship had not been working for a long time.
Weeks after the announcement, 2Face introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru as his new partner, sparking widespread reactions on social media.
In the aftermath of the split, Annie briefly removed Idibia’s surname from her social media handles before later restoring it.
The couple, who married in 2012, shared 13 years together and faced intense public scrutiny throughout their relationship. They have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia Idibia, who are currently in Annie’s custody.
