ADC Aspirant Faith Ugbeshe Unveils Bold 5-Point Agenda for Amuwo-Odofin Development

A House of Representatives aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Faith Ugbeshe, has unveiled a comprehensive five-point agenda aimed at driving sustainable development in Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency.

Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Ugbeshe said her ambition is rooted in delivering transparent, innovative, and people-oriented governance that directly addresses the needs of her constituents.

Drawing from her experience as a former chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Amuwo-Odofin, she emphasized her deep connection to grassroots politics, noting that years of community engagement have equipped her with the insight required for effective representation.

Ugbeshe explained that her legislative priorities will focus on lawmaking, oversight, and budget scrutiny to ensure fair allocation of national resources to the constituency.

She outlined her five-pronged agenda to include community infrastructure, youth empowerment, education and technology development, environmental protection, and energy access.

On infrastructure, she pledged to advocate for the rehabilitation of roads in Festac, alongside improved drainage, sanitation, and flood control systems.

Youth empowerment, she said, would be pursued through skill acquisition programmes tied to federal MSME opportunities, with a focus on improving access to funding and entrepreneurship support.

Ugbeshe also highlighted plans to sponsor legislation that promotes digital learning and the establishment of tech hubs, while partnering with relevant agencies to upgrade school infrastructure and expand access to quality education.

Addressing environmental concerns, she called for stricter regulation of industrial activities such as tank farms and container terminals, alongside the promotion of safer gas plant development.

In the area of energy, the aspirant proposed expanding access to solar solutions for households and small businesses, noting that alternative energy sources would help reduce reliance on unstable power supply in the constituency.

Expressing confidence in her agenda, Ugbeshe urged constituents to support her bid for the ADC ticket, assuring that her candidacy would bring impactful representation and measurable development.

“I have been involved in grassroots politics in this area for years, working to build support for meaningful change. With your backing, we can achieve quality representation and lasting progress,” she said.
