Supporters of Governor Ademola Adeleke on Sunday stormed the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osogbo, Osun State, to celebrate his victory in the 2026 governorship election.
The supporters gathered around the collation centre shortly after the Accord Party was declared the winner of the election.
They waved party flags, displayed Accord Party insignia and sang solidarity songs while chanting the governor’s name.
The atmosphere around the INEC premises turned festive as the crowd erupted intermittently in cheers of “Adeleke” and other victory chants.
Following the celebration in Osogbo, several supporters reportedly moved to Ede, the governor’s hometown, where they continued celebrations over the election result.
