The brother of late Nollywood actress, Allwell Ademola, has publicly apologised to actress Iyabo Ojo following a recent dispute over claims of lack of support for his late sister.
The apology took place during a memorial service held in honour of Allwell Ademola, where her brother approached Iyabo Ojo and pleaded for forgiveness over a viral video in which he had called her out.
Expressing remorse, he clarified that he never intended to insult the actress. “Big mummy please don’t be offended. You can see that I didn’t abuse you in the viral video. Please, I’m sorry,” he said while prostrating before her.
Iyabo Ojo promptly accepted the apology, embracing him and putting the matter to rest. “O ti lo (it’s a thing of the past). To God, I have forgiven you,” she responded.
The controversy began after Allwell Ademola’s brother accused Iyabo Ojo and other celebrities of failing to support the late actress during her lifetime. In response, Iyabo Ojo stated that she had supported Ademola by featuring in her films several times without collecting any fees.
The reconciliation was met with applause from those present, marking an end to the public disagreement and restoring peace between both parties.
