A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and former senatorial candidate, Prince Yemi Emiko, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as an uncommon understanding of governance and the needs of the people.
Emiko said the governor’s achievements within a relatively short period in office reflect deep grassroots experience and a practical leadership style that has begun to win over even his critics.
The APC stalwart spoke on Monday evening from his country home in Warri after attending the sod-turning ceremony for the construction of a flyover bridge at the busy Otovwodo Junction in the Ughelli axis of the state.
According to Emiko, Oborevwori tackles governance challenges “like a skilled mechanic,” carefully diagnosing problems and applying solutions that deliver tangible results.
He noted that key infrastructure projects across the state, including the newly launched Ughelli flyover, demonstrate the governor’s clear grasp of Delta State’s development priorities.
The Warri Kingdom prince, who served on APC presidential election committees in both 2019 and 2023, stressed that he does not offer praise casually, adding that Oborevwori’s performance compelled him to speak out.
“We shall play electioneering politics when the time comes,” Emiko said. “But your work will speak for you. The people will speak with their votes, and Delta State will ultimately be better for it.”
