APC Women Leader Unveils ‘Tinubu Touch Bearers’ Movement to Drive 2027 Re-Election Push

A new political mobilisation drive aimed at strengthening support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid has been launched with the unveiling of the Tinubu Touch Bearers (TTB).

The initiative, spearheaded by the National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alile Idele, is scheduled for official presentation on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to organisers, the movement is designed as a key platform to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration while expanding grassroots engagement across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas.

The group described TTB as a nationwide network committed to advancing development-focused governance, encouraging women’s participation in politics, and strengthening national unity.

In a statement issued by its media unit, the movement said it would serve as a “unified force” to consolidate the achievements of the current administration and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“The Tinubu Touch Bearers is more than a movement; it is a nationwide force committed to carrying the message of hope, development and transformational leadership across Nigeria,” the statement read.

It added that the initiative would help bridge the gap between government policies and citizens by amplifying success stories, countering misinformation, and promoting civic participation.

TTB further stated that its activities would focus on grassroots mobilisation, inclusive governance, and strengthening the link between leadership and communities across the country.
