Afrobeats sensation Asake has opened up about his personal life, revealing that his reserved nature plays a major role in why he is still unmarried despite his growing fame.
Speaking during a recent interview with Korty EO, the singer described himself as an introvert who finds it difficult to socialise, a trait he admits has impacted his romantic relationships.
According to Asake, while the idea of starting a family is constantly on his mind, he remains committed to letting life unfold according to divine timing.
He stressed that he believes God has already mapped out his journey, including when he will meet his future wife.
“I plan to build a family by the special grace of God. I think about it every day because I am an introverted type of person who does not go out much. I will meet my wife when God says it is time,” he said.
The singer further advised against rushing into relationships, noting that patience is essential since the future remains uncertain and beyond human control.
Highlighting his current priorities, Asake said his focus remains firmly on his music career, adding humorously that his mother is presently the closest woman in his life.
“For now, my mom is my babe. But when God finally says it is time for me to get married, I will. For now, I am still on the streets,” he added.
