Oba Salaudeen Afolabi Adekoya Oyefusi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu is dead.
Reports have it that the late monarch had been sick and bedridden in an undisclosed hospital abroad before the unfortunate incident.
Although our impeccable source could not disclose when and where he died precisely, the Alaiyeluwa was thought to have passed on early today.
“I can confirm to you that Kabiyesi is dead but it isn’t our tradition in Ikorodu to disclose when he died.
“He died abroad, that’s another thing I can disclose for now and his remains have not been brought home as we speak.
“It’s a sad day for all Ikorodu indigenes because he was a real father to us all. We shall sorely miss his departure. He was a great man,” the source stated, pleading anonymity.
Our correspondent also gathered that burial rites for the late Oba would commence immediately the body arrived Nigeria.
