Baraka Alleges Mosun Filani Was Rude, Pompous, Recounts Heated On-Set Confrontation

Veteran Nollywood actor Oluwole Cole, popularly known as Baraka, has alleged that actress Mosunmola Filani displayed rude and arrogant behaviour during an incident that occurred early in their careers.

Speaking in a recent interview on the African A-List podcast, Baraka described the actress as “rude and pompous” while recounting a confrontation that reportedly unfolded on a movie set.

According to him, the incident happened during a film production around Larry King Hotel, where he, actor Kunle Afod and the late Murphy Afolabi had been engaged for a project.

Baraka claimed that Filani allegedly insulted Afod and Murphy Afolabi after one of them approached her, an encounter that left him displeased.

He said tensions escalated later that evening when both teams converged at another filming location to shoot a shrine scene.

Baraka alleged that he confronted the actress over her behaviour, adding that some industry colleagues, including Mr Latin, had earlier appealed to him to remain calm while they addressed the issue.

He further claimed that members of his team refused to continue filming unless Filani was asked to leave the location.

According to Baraka, Filani was at the time closely associated with actress Fathia Balogun, whom he described as her godmother.

He said he warned Filani against relying on influential figures within the industry, stressing that his colleagues respected Balogun because of her seniority rather than fear.

Baraka also recalled that actor Lala intervened in an attempt to calm the situation after he made remarks directed at Balogun.

Mosunmola Filani has not publicly responded to the allegations as of the time of filing this report.
