Controversial media personality Blessing CEO has publicly apologised over the ongoing controversy surrounding her health condition and related public fundraising.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the influencer—whose real name is Blessing Nkiruka Okoro—expressed regret to her fans, loved ones, well-wishers, and Nigerians, describing the situation as one that caused “unnecessary drama, embarrassment and controversy.”
She pledged to be more transparent going forward, assuring followers that she would document her medical journey in detail, including sharing her scan results and biopsy reports. According to her, this approach mirrors how she previously shared updates about her liposuction and Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.
Blessing CEO insisted she did not misrepresent her health condition, amid widespread allegations that she exaggerated claims, including suggestions of stage four cancer—claims she later attributed to a “miscommunication.”
The self-styled relationship expert also addressed financial contributions made by supporters during the period, stating that anyone who desires a refund will be reimbursed. She disclosed that she received about N13 million in donations.
She directed affected donors to send messages via WhatsApp or Instagram, alongside proof of payment and account details, to facilitate refunds.
Closing her statement, Blessing CEO thanked supporters for their love and concern, saying she remained grateful despite the controversy.
Her message read in part: “I am sorry, very sorry to my loved ones, fans, well-wishers and to all Nigerians… I did not lie about my health issues… please be patient with me.”
