Cosmas Maduka Fires Back at Cubana Chief Priest, Defends Legacy and Billionaire Mentorship Vision

Prominent Nigerian industrialist, Cosmas Maduka, has responded to comments by nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest, following comparisons involving some of Nigeria’s wealthiest individuals.

In a viral video circulating online, Maduka reflected on his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a respected figure in Nigeria’s corporate space.

The Coscharis Group founder noted that despite having only a third-grade education, he rose from what he described as “ground zero” to serve on the boards of two publicly quoted Nigerian banks, including chairing a credit committee.

‘I Will Never Compare Myself’
Maduka dismissed suggestions that he should measure himself against billionaires such as Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote.

“I will never equate myself with Aliko and the rest of them,” Maduka said. “If they came from where I was coming from, they would have been much more successful people.”

He stressed that his success story differs significantly from individuals who had access to formal education and early opportunities.

“Don’t measure me with a person whose father gave opportunity to go to school and have BSc or MSc. I am a street boy who worked myself up,” he stated.

Global Recognition and Mentorship Drive
Maduka also revealed that he had been invited by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna and currently conducts business across five continents.

Beyond his personal achievements, the businessman disclosed that in 2011 he set a goal to mentor 1,000 billionaires in Nigeria. According to him, 67 individuals he has mentored have already attained billionaire status.

“In 2011, God put it in my heart to create a thousand billionaires in Nigeria. I have 67 of them I can count on my fingers,” he said.

Maduka’s remarks have further fueled online conversations about wealth, legacy, and the differing paths to financial success in Nigeria’s business landscape.
