Renowned Nigerian dance icon Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, alongside cultural figure Yeye Falashade Shona and other influential women, will headline the “Power of Collaboration” forum organised by the GAH Elite Club as part of activities marking International Women’s Day 2026.
The high-impact event is scheduled for April 11, 2026, in Lekki, Lagos, and aims to spotlight the role of unity, creativity, and shared purpose in advancing women across industries.
In a statement released Tuesday, the club’s founder, Princess Oghene, described the initiative as more than a commemorative gathering, positioning it as a results-driven platform for meaningful engagement and transformation.
“This is a strategic convergence of influence, leadership, and transformation,” she said, emphasizing a shift from symbolic participation to structured, goal-oriented collaboration. “We are moving beyond celebration into execution—where women show up not just visibly, but strategically.”
According to Oghene, the 2026 theme reflects a deliberate move toward intentional partnerships among women, marking a significant evolution in how the organisation approaches International Women’s Day—from awareness to action.
The forum will address critical gaps in structured collaboration among high-impact women, focusing on areas such as strategic visibility, cross-industry partnerships, enterprise growth, leadership influence, policy engagement, and media positioning.
“It is not attendance-driven but outcome-driven,” Oghene added, noting that the event will highlight measurable contributions of women across sectors.
The programme will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions from leading voices, including Kirti Sudhanshu, Carolyna Hutchings, Anita Natacha, Abiola Adelana, Delphine Okoronkwo, Seyi Amao, Esohe Igbinobia, and Adaeze Chioma Ahubarezeama.
Organisers say the speakers were carefully selected for their proven leadership, resilience, and execution capabilities, with the forum expected to attract corporate executives, entrepreneurs, global professionals, and media leaders.
While International Women’s Day is officially marked on March 8, the Lagos event aligns with the broader global movement, reinforcing its core message of gender equality and women’s advancement.
Stakeholders, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs are expected to attend, highlighting the GAH Elite Club’s commitment to fostering leadership development and empowering women through intentional and structured collaboration.
