Nigerian music superstar Davido has announced plans to host his inaugural music festival, “Davido & Friends,” set to take place at the Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14, 2026.
The event forms part of the venue’s “Palace Bowl Presents” summer concert series, expected to attract music lovers from across the globe.
Davido made the announcement via Instagram on Monday, generating excitement among fans. “For the first time, I present to you… Davido & Friends Festival. It’s going down at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14th,” he wrote.
The award-winning singer will headline and personally curate the festival lineup, which is expected to feature a mix of top-tier and emerging artists, although the full roster has yet to be unveiled.
Organisers say the festival, which runs from July 31 to August 16, 2026, will go beyond music, offering a rich cultural experience that blends food, fashion, and community engagement.
The announcement comes on the heels of Davido’s successful 5IVE Tour, which saw him perform across major cities in Nigeria and internationally, including Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Adamawa, between October and December.
The tour was in support of his fifth studio album, “5IVE,” further cementing his status as one of Africa’s leading global music exports.
