Easter: Oluremi Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Show Compassion, Support the Needy

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace compassion and extend support to the less privileged as they celebrate Easter.

In her Easter message on Friday, the First Lady encouraged citizens to remember those in need and demonstrate kindness within their communities, describing the season as a time for reflection on love, sacrifice, and selflessness.

“As we celebrate Easter with our loved ones, friends, neighbours and communities, let us remember those in need and extend compassion and support wherever we can,” she said.

She described Easter as a powerful symbol of the enduring love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, as well as the hope brought by His resurrection to humanity.

According to her, the lessons of the season should inspire Nigerians to uplift the vulnerable, promote unity, and make sacrifices necessary for national development. “May the spirit of Easter inspire us to love one another, make sacrifices when necessary, and work together to build a peaceful and prosperous nation,” she added.

The First Lady emphasised that collective responsibility and mutual care are vital in fostering a harmonious society, urging Nigerians to sustain acts of generosity beyond the festive period.

She also wished citizens a joyful Easter celebration.
