The Chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, has called on Muslim faithful across Nigeria to embrace the true spirit of Eid-el-Fitr as they mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan in 2026. He urged adherents to celebrate the occasion with gratitude, moderation, and a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment after a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection.

In his Eid message, Dr. Afolabi congratulated Muslims for successfully completing the Ramadan fast, describing the exercise as a demonstration of unwavering faith, discipline, and obedience to the will of Almighty Allah. He noted that the spiritual lessons learned during Ramadan should not end with the fasting period but should be sustained in daily life.
The SIFAX Group chairman emphasized that Eid-el-Fitr is not just a time for feasting and merriment, but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds of unity, peace, and mutual respect among Nigerians.

He encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to foster harmony within families, communities, and the nation at large.
He further urged the faithful to extend love and generosity to the less privileged, stressing that acts of charity remain one of the core teachings of Islam. According to him, reaching out to those in need, especially during festive periods, helps to build a more compassionate and inclusive society.

Dr. Afolabi also used the occasion to offer prayers for Nigeria, asking for divine intervention in the nation’s affairs. He prayed for peace, stability, and economic prosperity, noting that the country’s progress depends on collective efforts, unity, and a shared commitment to nation-building.
While acknowledging the socio-economic challenges facing the country, he expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome its current difficulties through resilience, faith, and good leadership. He called on leaders at all levels to remain committed to policies that promote growth, transparency, and the welfare of citizens.

The business leader also encouraged Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic backgrounds, to continue to coexist peacefully and support one another. He stressed that national unity remains a key ingredient for sustainable development and long-term progress.
As Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Dr. Afolabi wished them a joyous and peaceful celebration. He prayed that the blessings of Ramadan bring renewed hope, divine favor, and lasting prosperity to every household and to Nigeria as a whole.
