Former Pioneer Group Managing Director of Gateway Holdings Limited (GHL), the Investment Company of Ogun State and the State guber candidate, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka is on a deadly mission in the State.
The accountant cum politician who has been tipped ahead of Sina Kawonise and Alhaji Sharafadeen Ishola the former Minister of Finance under former President Olusegun Obasanjo among his party member to win the next general election in the State, under the umbrella of Labour Party – L.P.
The Labour Party contingents and its party leader, Otunba Gbenga Daniel stormed the ancient town of Ota on Sunday, August 25, 2012 to commence the preparation and rally around the Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State, to plead for their support in the next general election.
After the rally, the ‘Labourers’ started embarking on their journey to their various destination when one of the supporter of the Labour Party aspirant jumped on the fender of Gboyega Isiaka otherwise known as GNI moving SUV and he was brushed down with a riffle by one of the policemen attached to the politician.
The young man who is popularly called Asunmo was knocked under the moving vehicle and paid dearly for his ‘loyalty’ to the gubernatorial hopeful.
Our reporters gathered that all attempts to call GNI to order, when the accident occur proved abortive as his entourage shielded him and zoomed off as if it’s a mission ready to be accomplished.
Asunmo who is said to be a fashion designer and a son of a deceased chieftain of the town, Pa Anifaloba was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital by his close friends for treatment.
We also gathered that the ‘victim’ was later discharged from the hospital with crutches with his ‘gangs’ threatening to vote out all Labour Party aspirants in the next coming election in the State.
Some of the women, who were party member revealed that the near to death injury inflicted on Asunmo might probably be a stumbling block for the victory of the party in the next election, as the young man knocked down by GNI is a grass root goon whom is well known in the town as a destructive force, who care less about his actions once it’s been executed.
‘it shouldn’t have been Asunmo, the guy is our person…… he is one of our party member from the days of PPN and we’re banking on him on the next election to unleash mayhem on oppositions in this area but it is so unfortunate that he was the one knocked down by GNI. It should have been someone else’, the woman disclosed to our reporter.
The last general election in the State is the case study to this claim, as he was a strong supporter of the defunct Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), headed by OGD and his crony; GNI was also the governorship candidate of the party back then. Asunmo and his thugs with the help of a party leader, we gathered ensure that PPN won in their ward in Ota.
It would also be recalled that the Party Leader, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who is hell-bent and desperate to become politically relevant in the State has also started launching several propaganda missiles in the media to the opposition party, All Progressives Congress from his abode in Maryland, Lagos.
