EXPOSED: Movie Star, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Does Not Pay Tax…May Be Served Papers Soon

Nollywood actress and 2013 TIME 100- Listed Most Influential People in the world, Omotola Jalade -Ekeinde may be vocal and angry about the failed Nigerian system, checks made by E24-7Magazine checks have revealed that the movie star does not pay tax.
Omotola, who launched her #DontPushMe campaign in the heat of the fuel crisis that grounded the nation, unleashed her anger on the state of governance in Lagos State. She had tweeted that, having paid her tax, Lagos State should refund all that she had spent on her security, fuel and road. She had described the state as insensitive and conceded the move to prosecute tax evaders as rubbish in her tweets to 800,000 of her followers on Twitter.
It was gathered from a reliable source at Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) that Omotola, a multiple brand ambassador, has never filed her personal income tax return papers, an offence against the state.
“It is unfortunate she has become so vocal, critisising the government but ignorant of her obligation as a citizen to pay tax. She is not tax compliant. Omotola failed to know that it is from the tax that she and others pay that government will provide all the amenities and infrastructures she mentioned. She needs a lot of education.”
The source further hinted that, although, Omotola has the right to criticise the government, she has failed in her role as a tax – payer. Her case, the source continued, is like the popular blogger, Linda Ikeji who after she was served tax papers recently, denied outright, that she is the owner of the controversial Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos home
The star actress who has just opened a new event centre in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos also took time to take the Power Holding Company( PHCN) to the cleaners.
She considered the operations of the Ikeja arm of the PHCN as fraudulent for bringing bills without light.
