Igboho Backs Tinubu for Second Term, Blasts Aregbesola as ‘Ingrate’

Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring that he would remain loyal to the President in appreciation for what he described as Tinubu’s role in restoring his freedom.

Speaking during a visit to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Network in Accra, Ghana, Igboho said he would continue to support Tinubu throughout his administration, stressing that he would not act like the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, whom he accused of being ungrateful.

According to Igboho, Tinubu played a significant role in his return from exile after receiving presidential forgiveness, a gesture he said he would never forget.

“I will continue to appreciate and support the government of Bola Tinubu for forgiving me and restoring me back from a lonely exile. I will support him for eight years because I am not an ingrate like his former commissioner called Aregbesola,” he said.

The Yoruba Nation campaigner also criticised Aregbesola, recalling the political opportunities Tinubu allegedly provided him over the years.

“Tinubu made Aregbesola Commissioner, removed Oyinlola as Governor and put Aregbesola there. He later became a federal minister, but today, see what the ingrate is saying about his benefactor,” Igboho stated.

Expressing confidence in Tinubu’s political future, Igboho said he believes the President will complete two terms in office.

“May we never be ingrates in our lives. Obasanjo spent eight years, Buhari spent eight years, and even Jonathan spent about six years too.

“Tinubu will complete his eight years by God’s grace. Nothing will stop him,” he added.

Igboho’s comments come amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Aregbesola now serving as the National Secretary of the ADC after his fallout with the ruling APC.
