Tanzanian music star, Juma Jux, has denied allegations that he fathered a child with a Tanzanian woman, insisting that he has never had a romantic or physical relationship with her.
The singer addressed the controversy days after he and his wife, Nigerian actress Priscilla Ojo Mkambala, celebrated the first birthday of their son, Rakeem.
Jux said the allegation was not new, explaining that he initially chose not to respond until it began affecting his name, family and business interests.
According to the singer, he contacted the woman identified as Musika to seek clarification over the claims attributed to her.
Jux said Musika personally confirmed, in her own words and voice, that she had never been physically intimate with him and that they had never been romantically involved.
The singer said the allegation has resurfaced despite the clarification, prompting him to refer the matter to the appropriate legal authorities.
He added that further legal action would be taken against Musika over the claims.
Jux also cautioned members of the media and the public against circulating what he described as false or misleading information concerning the alleged paternity dispute.
The singer maintained that he would allow the law to take its course, saying he had chosen to respond with “calmness, truth and the appropriate legal steps.”
The controversy comes shortly after Jux and Priscilla Ojo celebrated their son Rakeem’s first birthday, with the couple sharing moments from the celebration on social media.
