Nigeria is set to host the 9th edition of the GTCO Food & Drink Festival, a flagship culinary event expected to draw thousands of food enthusiasts from across Africa and beyond.
The three-day festival, themed “Everything Food and Drink,” will take place from May 1 to May 3, 2026, at the GTCentre in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Organised by Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc, the event continues to position itself as a major platform for promoting enterprise within the food and beverage industry while delivering immersive experiences for attendees.
This year’s edition promises an expansive showcase of Nigerian and international cuisines, bringing together globally recognised chefs, emerging culinary talents, and small-scale food entrepreneurs. Attendees can also expect a dedicated children’s play area and a vibrant atmosphere designed for families and food lovers alike.
Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO, Segun Agbaje, highlighted the social significance of food, describing it as an experience best shared. He noted that the festival reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering enterprise and creating meaningful consumer engagement through innovative platforms.
“The continuing success of our free-business platforms reflects our unchanging commitment to promoting enterprise,” Agbaje said, adding that the festival has evolved into a symbol of opportunity and accessibility.
In response to growing demand, the organisers have expanded participation for the 2026 edition. According to Oyinade Adegite, the number of free vendor stalls has increased to 204, offering more entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their products.
She revealed that the vendors were selected from about 6,000 applicants through a rigorous and transparent process, with 90 percent participating for the first time—an indication of the festival’s widening reach and inclusivity.
Beyond food exhibitions, the festival will feature masterclasses led by international chefs and industry experts, live music performances, and an after-party, further cementing its reputation as one of Africa’s leading lifestyle events.
With free entry for all attendees, the GTCO Food & Drink Festival 2026 is poised to deliver a blend of culture, commerce, and culinary excellence, while continuing to support small businesses and inspire innovation across Nigeria’s food industry.
