The Arsenal academy striker Chuba Akpom made a good case for having more playing time next season by scoring a hat-trick during his side’s 4-0 win over a Singapore Select XI in the Premier League Asian Trophy on Wednesday.

These are facts that you may never have known about the Hat-trick hero, Chuba Akpom. . .

*Chuba Amechi Akpom (born 9 October 1995) is a English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Arsenal.

*Akpom was born in the London Borough of Newham and attended St.Bonaventure’s Catholic Comprehensive School.

*Akpom joined Arsenal at the age of six and made his debut for the Arsenal U18 side at the age of 15.
*The Nigerian born Youngster made history as one of the youngest players to ever make a debut at the UEFA Champions League.
*He signed his first professional contract with Arsenal on 10 October 2012, a day after turning 17.
*Akpom has been nicknamed “Titi” by Arsenal player Alexis Sánchez in comparison with the club’s former forward Thierry Henry.
*Though eligible to play for Nigeria, Chuba Akpom has opted to play and has made 18 appearances in total for the England Youth Teams even as he first played for the Under-18s when he was just 15.
*The higly talented youngster Might still be able to play for Nigeria still, this been because he has not been fully capped at the England National Team Level.
*On 15 February 2011 Akpom made his debut for England U16s in a friendly match against Slovenia, which ended in a 0–0 draw.
*On 14 February 2014, Akpom joined League One side Coventry City on loan until the end of the 2013–14 season, with an agreement that he would rejoin the Arsenal squad for games in the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League during the course of the loan.
