Several online news sources are reporting that popular Lagos socialite and owner of Movida Nightclub, Akeem Sodeinde has passed away.
Reports state that he died in his sleep on Sunday evening.
Sodeinde is said to have been battling with acute diabetes and kidney failure for a long period of time, and had received treatment in India and the UK.
Movida was reportedly shut down during a particular period when he was very ill. He subsequently re-opened the nightclub when his health improved.
