Senator Ned Nwoko has described the ongoing electronic membership registration and revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a defining moment for reflection, renewal and repositioning within the ruling party.
Speaking on a political platform on Friday, the lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District urged APC members across the district and the state to participate actively in the exercise, warning that any political party that loses touch with its grassroots risks losing its relevance.
According to Nwoko, credible leadership is built on accurate records, active participation and transparent internal processes, noting that the e-registration initiative offers the APC an opportunity to rebuild trust and strengthen its organisational structure.
“The e-registration exercise provides a platform to renew our bond with members, reinforce our internal systems and position the party for future electoral success,” he said.
The senator encouraged long-standing party members who have remained loyal over the years to ensure their details are properly captured, while also calling on new members who share the APC’s vision of national renewal and economic reform to formally enlist.
“This is a moment to choose relevance over indifference. History rewards participation, not hesitation,” Nwoko stated.
He urged party faithful to seize the opportunity to deepen engagement and reaffirm the APC as a party “organised to win and prepared to govern.”
Nwoko further emphasised the importance of strong institutions and unity of purpose in delivering democratic dividends to Nigerians.
“As a party, we must continuously strengthen our internal systems if we are to deliver on our promises to the Nigerian people. Strong institutions, unity of purpose and active citizen engagement remain essential to democratic growth and sustainable development,” he said.
The senator also reiterated his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the national leadership of the APC, pledging continued collaboration to consolidate democracy, deepen governance reforms and drive meaningful development across Delta North and Nigeria at large.
