Tosin Sanusi, Special Adviser, Education at ECOWAS Youth Council, joined the United Nations International Youth Day at Discover Conference ’17, organized by GLAMBUDS NETWORK, on Saturday, 12th August, 2017, in Oregun, Lagos, where he encouraged the youth on how to make good use of their social media platforms for the their businesses; and to learn how to connect with the right young minds.
He gave a brief information about his past, when started his business at an early age in Agege community, where he picked up bottles and sold them. Although, the story today has changed: he is the director of five companies, apart from his position at the ECOWAS Youth Council.
The highlight of the event was a business proposal by five competitors, which bordered on four criteria: Sustainability, Improvement in the country’s economy, Employment creation, and Environmentally friendly. The winner of the competition was Dolapo Akanni Oni, who presented PEPPY, a locally made beverage drink from Hibiscus Sabdariffa (Zobo) leaves.
