Singer Niniola has penned an emotional tribute to her late husband, Michael Ndika, following his death on May 19.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the grieving singer described Michael as her best friend, confidant, pillar, business partner, and the source of her joy and laughter.
Niniola revealed that she still struggles to accept his passing, admitting that she constantly expects him to walk through the door whenever he goes out.
According to her, their bond was inseparable, as Michael always wanted her close by his side at home.
The singer, who described herself as naturally reserved, said her husband was all she needed because he was “one in a million.”
Expressing the depth of her pain, Niniola said Michael impacted her life in countless ways before his sudden passing, adding that she does not know how to cope with the loss.
“I find myself waiting, expecting Michael to walk through the door. My best friend, my confidant, my pillar, my laughter, my joy giver, my provider, my husband, my brother — he was the air I breathe,” she wrote.
“I can’t survive this. I always looked forward to him coming home whenever he went out. Even in the house, we were always together. He never wanted me away from him.
“I’m naturally a loner, and Michael was all that I needed because he was one in a million. He touched my life in different capacities, and God took him from me,” she added.
