Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has expressed deep gratitude to colleagues, guilds, associations and stakeholders across the film industry for the overwhelming support shown following the death of actress Allwell Ademola.
In an emotional appreciation letter shared on Instagram, Salami described the Nollywood community as a true family that stood together during a moment of profound grief.
He commended industry colleagues for their presence, phone calls, messages, prayers, financial contributions and behind-the-scenes support, noting that these gestures provided strength when words failed.
According to Salami, the unity displayed during the burial rites reflected the depth of love and respect the industry had for the late actress.
“Nollywood showed up in unity, compassion, and honour,” he wrote, adding that the dignity with which Allwell Ademola was laid to rest spoke volumes about the value placed on her life, talent and impact.
Salami stressed that every gesture—big or small—was meaningful, saying the collective support helped transform moments of sorrow into strength.
He concluded by praying for divine rewards for everyone who contributed in any way and asked God to grant the industry long life and continued unity, while also praying for the peaceful repose of Allwell Ademola’s soul.
