Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District and former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has approved a major restructuring of the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF) to strengthen its humanitarian programmes and expand grassroots development initiatives across the district.
According to a statement issued by the OGD Media Office, the reorganisation is aimed at improving the Foundation’s efficiency in delivering humanitarian interventions, leadership development, community engagement and socio-economic empowerment.
As part of the restructuring, Local Government Managers will be appointed in each of the nine local government areas of Ogun East to coordinate the Foundation’s activities at the grassroots. They will work under an Executive Secretary, who will serve as the administrative head of the Foundation and oversee programme implementation.
The new structure is expected to enhance coordination and ensure more effective delivery of empowerment programmes, medical outreach, educational support, youth and women development initiatives, and other welfare projects across the senatorial district.
Senator Daniel also reaffirmed his commitment to developing the next generation of political leaders through the Political Leadership Academy (POLA), a non-partisan mentorship platform established to equip aspiring leaders with the knowledge, values and leadership skills required for effective public service.
He urged his associates and supporters to remain committed to the principles of selfless service, democratic participation and sustainable development, assuring them of his continued guidance and leadership.
The former Ogun State governor expressed appreciation to the partners, coordinators, members and supporters of the Gateway Front Foundation for their dedication over the past 26 years, noting that their contributions have played a significant role in promoting grassroots development and community engagement across Ogun East.
The statement added that the names of the newly appointed Local Government Managers would be announced in the coming days.
