The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, has urged women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Osun State to support the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
Oluga made the call during a campaign engagement in the constituency, describing the forthcoming governorship election as a defining moment for inclusive governance in the state.
She urged residents to look beyond partisan politics and focus on the kind of leadership they want for Osun, stressing that the election was an opportunity to choose a government committed to improving the welfare of ordinary citizens.
“This election is not just about choosing a governor; it is about deciding what kind of Osun we want to build. We must build an Osun where no woman is left behind, no child is denied opportunity, and no person living with a disability is forgotten,” Oluga said.
The former federal lawmaker described women as the engine of communities and called for greater economic opportunities through access to credit, skills development and policies that promote entrepreneurship.
“When you empower a woman, you strengthen a family. When families are stronger, communities become more prosperous. Women deserve a government that listens, supports and creates opportunities for them to thrive,” she added.
Oluga also called for increased investment in education, healthcare and child protection, saying the future of Osun depended largely on how the state treats its children.
She said every child in the state deserved quality education, a safe learning environment and the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
On persons with disabilities, Oluga advocated improved access to education, healthcare, employment and public facilities, stressing that government policies should accommodate vulnerable members of society without discrimination.
“An inclusive Osun is one where persons living with disabilities have access to education, healthcare, employment and public facilities without discrimination. Development must be designed for everyone, not just a privileged few,” she said.
Oluga urged residents of Ayedaade, Irewole, Isokan and other parts of the state to support Oyebamiji, expressing confidence that an APC administration under his leadership would expand opportunities for youths, artisans, farmers, market women and other underserved groups.
She described Oyebamiji as a symbol of hope for an inclusive Osun where governance would extend to the grassroots.
The APC candidate also urged party supporters to maintain peace throughout the campaign, saying the party’s message should be driven by ideas, civility and service rather than insults or hostility.
Oluga reaffirmed her commitment to people-centred representation and pledged to continue advocating legislation and policies aimed at improving the lives of women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in her constituency and across Osun State.
