Oluwanifemi Kazeem Announces Bid for Lagos State House of Assembly Seat, Promises Youthful, Accessible Leadership for Alimosho Constituency I

In a move that is set to stir up the political landscape of Lagos, seasoned journalist, broadcaster, and entrepreneur Oluwanifemi Kazeem has officially declared her intention to run for the Alimosho Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Kazeem, under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the announcement on Wednesday, following a series of consultations with party leaders within the constituency.

Kazeem emphasized her candidacy is fueled by the growing demand for a fresh, youth-focused, and accessible approach to governance from the people of Alimosho. In a candid address to the press, she said her vision is rooted in transparency, active citizen engagement, and fostering development in the area.

“My mission is clear—to bring a new kind of leadership to Alimosho, one that listens to the people and reflects their aspirations. The people need a representative who understands their needs and is approachable, and I am ready to provide that,” she asserted.

Kazeem, who has a deep connection to the constituency, highlighted its political significance, especially its sizable voting population. She stressed the importance of giving women a louder voice in the political process and pledged to be a powerful advocate for women’s rights and gender equality.

“I am passionate about creating more opportunities for women to thrive, and I want to be that voice for the women of Alimosho Constituency I,” Kazeem added.

Born into a politically active family, Kazeem’s father, Alhaji M. Kazeem, is a well-known figure in the area, while her mother, Olabisi Kazeem, previously served as a councillor. Raised in Abule Oki, Iyana Ipaja, Kazeem is a proud product of Alimosho Primary and Secondary Schools, later pursuing higher education at Olabisi Onabanjo University. She is also an alumna of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School.

With over 20 years of experience in the media industry, Kazeem has worked with several renowned organizations such as Daar Communications Plc, Television Continental, and City People Magazine. Her extensive coverage of the Lagos State House of Assembly has equipped her with invaluable insight into governance, policymaking, and community needs.

As she prepares for the upcoming election, Kazeem is determined to bridge the gap between the people and the government, ensuring that the voice of Alimosho is heard loud and clear in the state legislature.
