Osun state chapter of Conference of National Political Parties (CNPP) under the leadership of one Pastor Olatunji Popoola on Wednesday collected a sum of N250 million bribe to adopt PDP’s candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore, investigation has revealed.
According to source who pleaded anonymity, those involved in the deal with CNPP included PDP Chairman, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, Minister for Police Affairs, Mr Jelili Adesiyan and a member of National Population Commission (NPC), Akogun Lere Oyewumi. To get the said deal done, CNPP had to forge signature of the state Chairman of SDP, one of the top four parties in the state.
Already, the SDP Chairman has reacted to the unholy alliance saying his party was not part of the fraudulent game as the party’s candidate, Olusegun Akinwusi is ready to contest the election and win.
