The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the uploading of results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing (IREV) portal.
More than two hours after the closure of polls, results from about 658 polling units, representing 27.49 per cent of the 3,763 polling units across the state, had been uploaded to the portal.
Osogbo Local Government Area recorded the highest number of uploaded results, with 70 polling units already reflected on the IREV portal.
Ife Central followed with 58 uploaded results, while Ife East recorded 49 as of the time of filing this report.
Osun State has 3,763 polling units spread across its 30 local government areas. Osogbo has the highest number of polling units with 282, followed by Ife Central with 215 and Ife East with 200.
Ola Oluwa has the lowest number of polling units with 62, followed by Boluwaduro with 74, Atakumosa West with 76, Atakumosa East with 77 and Orolu with 84.
The ongoing upload of results to the IREV portal is part of INEC’s process of making polling unit results accessible to the public as the collation of votes continues.
