Pastor Adeboye Suspends RCCG Pastor for Inviting Pasuma As Guest Artiste

The three-day outdoor crusade of one the parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has on behalf of the National headquarters, been cancelled by the provincial Lagos Island headquarters.

This is following the backlash that came once the public got wind of plans of the offending Parish, to invite secular Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma to perform as one of the guest artists for the crusade.

Earlier in the week, the photo of the Fuji musician alongside Kekere Jike, the former leader of the Egypt 80 band and popular gospel artiste, Tope Alabi surfaced on a handbill advertising the crusade. The photo was reportedly leaked by a fan of the Fuji Music Icon, who worked at the printing press where the fliers and posters advertising the crusade, were being printed.

The programme was reportedly cancelled because the plans to invite the Fuji act to a religious programme was not well thought out by the organizers and this led to the suspension of the pastor in charge of the Parish along with the miscalculating planning committee.

The suspended parties are currently waiting for sanction from the National headquarters of the RCCG, for allegedly bringing shame and disgrace upon the church.

The outdoor crusade themed ‘Lagos Island Family areas forum’ organized by Province 20, was scheduled to hold from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25. Pastor Keji Hamilton was also billed to grace the crusade.
