Relationship coach and lead pastor of David Christian Centre (DCC), Kingsley Okonkwo, has ignited widespread debate on social media after unveiling a new tattoo on his arm.

The pastor shared a photo of the tattoo on his Instagram page, accompanied by the caption “3:16,” a reference many believe points to a popular biblical verse. The post immediately drew mixed reactions from followers, with opinions sharply divided.

While some supporters argued that Christianity is rooted in personal faith and inner conviction rather than outward appearance, others questioned whether tattoos align with the moral standards expected of a pastor. Critics cited Leviticus 19:28, a biblical passage that warns against marking the skin.

Reacting to the post, one user, @iamqneth, wrote, “The Bible says we should not make a mark on our skin. I know the Bible hasn’t changed and God’s word hasn’t changed too, so all I can say is hmmmmm.”

Another follower, @ladyrosabel, commented, “For those of us that have something to say but decided not to say it, may the peace of the Lord be with us, amen.”

Others defended the pastor’s action, stressing personal understanding of faith. @iamkingdinero1 noted, “Just know God personally, no let anyone introduce their own God to you. Find your God, know am for yourself.”

However, some reactions were more critical. @sailorojay stated, “It baffles me. Does this pastor not know it’s a sin to tattoo his skin? As a pastor, you should be leading members in the right path with what the Bible teaches.”

Another user, @papcy_valery, quoted the scripture directly: “Leviticus 19:28: Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.”

Okonkwo, who is widely known for his teachings on marriage and relationships, has not publicly responded to the controversy as of the time of this report.
