PBAT-ICG Rallies Support for Tinubu, Says Achievements Will Drive 2027 Victory

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group (PBAT-ICG), Tajudeen Olusi, has said President Bola Tinubu’s quest for a second term in 2027 will be based on the achievements of his administration rather than campaign promises.

Olusi made the remarks during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held in Lagos to mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the Tinubu administration has undertaken bold economic reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth, strengthening fiscal discipline and laying the groundwork for long-term economic prosperity.

He highlighted what he described as key accomplishments of the administration, including improved revenue generation, increased allocations to states and local governments, renewed investor confidence and a reduction in dependence on borrowing to fund recurrent expenditure.

Olusi noted that the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market were difficult but necessary decisions taken to stabilise the economy and attract investment.

He also listed several government initiatives as evidence of progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including the Students Loan Scheme, Consumer Credit Scheme, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) programme, infrastructure projects, healthcare reforms, and efforts to boost agriculture and food security.

“President Tinubu’s 2027 campaign will not be built on empty promises but on concrete achievements that Nigerians can see and evaluate. The Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding positive results, and more benefits will become evident as ongoing reforms mature,” Olusi stated.

Speaking at the meeting, the Convener of PBAT-ICG, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, said the Federal Government had intensified efforts to address insecurity, increase crude oil production and strengthen social investment programmes designed to support vulnerable Nigerians.

He maintained that the administration remained focused on building a resilient economy, creating employment opportunities, empowering young people and ensuring inclusive development across the country.

Bamigbade urged members and supporters of the group across Lagos and other states to continue mobilising support for President Tinubu while promoting the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He also endorsed Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as a credible successor in the state’s future governorship contest.

The PBAT-ICG convener further called on eligible Nigerians, especially youths and first-time voters, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the nation’s future depends largely on the choices citizens make at the ballot box.

“Democracy thrives when citizens participate. I therefore call on all Nigerians who are yet to register to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and prepare to exercise their constitutional right in 2027. Every vote counts, and every Nigerian has a responsibility to contribute to the continued growth and development of our dear country,” Bamigbade said.

He expressed confidence that the administration’s ongoing reforms, coupled with continued public support, would enable President Tinubu to secure a second term and further consolidate the gains recorded under his government.
