PMAN Properties: Teemac, Luciano, Murphy Faces Jail term

Following last year’s consent judgement of a Federal High in Lagos, establishing a new leadership for the Performing Musician Employers Association of Nigeria, PMAN, some of the association’s past leaders may be jailed.  The new Interim National Executive Caretaker Committee, under the leadership of former Pop singer, Pretty Okafor is requesting the duo of Dr. Teemac Omatshola Itseli and Kelvin Gabriel Luciano to surrender all PMAN properties in their possession with immediate effect.

In separate letters signed by Interim President, Pretty Okafor and General Secretary, Dr.  Kenny A. George and sent to both Kelvin and Teemac, they were requested to stop parading as PMAN official and produce PMAN’s Certificate of Occupancy on landed properties respectively.

The letter to Kelvin Luciano titled, NOTIFICATION OF JUDGEMENT AND DEMANDS OF YOU TO STOP PARADING YOURSELF AS PMAN OFFICIAL, reads in part, “Sequel to our several discussions and meetings with you on the subject matter and our invitation to you to close ranks with us in order to move PMAN forward, we hereby formally wish to inform you that a Federal High Court has established and constituted a new Interim National Executive/Caretaker Committee for PMAN.
In a consent judgement delivered by Hon. Justice O. E. Abang, the court also set aside any purported election or appointment into PMAN National Executive during the pendency of the matter before it.
It is therefore our position that you stop parading yourself as PMAN official henceforth and handover all PMAN property, documents, document of title and also account for all funds of the union in your possession to the Interim National Executive Caretaker Committee without delay.”

The Questionmark Boss was also asked to account for the sumof N120million performance and promoter’s levies he collected during his over 2years reign as president of PMAN.

On his part, Dr. Teemac Omatshola Itseli has been asked to produce and return the PMAN’s Certificate of Occupancy of the association’s landed property in Abuja to the new leadership.  “We are aware that you are in custody of this Certificate of Occupancy belonging to PMAN which is a property of PMAN that ought not to be in your private custody. Now that there is a constituted leadership of PMAN, it is hereby formally demanded that you return such document to PMAN immediately.” a part of the letter reads.

Teemac was further informed of the association’s seven days ultimatum, “It is hereby further demanded that the said PMAN’s Certificate of Occupancy in your possession should be submitted to the Interim Executive/Caretaker Committee of PMAN within seven (7) days of the receipt of this letter.
Take note that if you fail to heed to this call and persist in detaining PMAN’s document, we shall be left with no other option than to deploy all lawful means to recover same from you.”

Also, Murphy Van-Anthony who is alleged to have sold off PMAN’s secretariat in Ikeja has also been asked to produce properties belonging to the association. The dreadlocks wearing singer is also accused of carting away with items including:
PMAN official vehicle (bus), 75KVA generator, computers, office furniture, TV sets, air conditioners among other items.

It will be recalled that, the new PMAN had earlier called on warring factions at the beginning of his administration to mend fences and settle issues amicably.

These factions including the now nervy trio of Kelvin, Teemac and Murphy ignored several calls.

The implication of this recent development is that, these men may soon be arrested by the law enforcement agents and charged with contempt of court. An offense which may see them jailed for a minimum of three months.
