Rahman Jago Confirms Burna Boy’s Conversion to Islam, Sparks Online Reactions

Nigerian socialite and music executive Rahman Jago has publicly confirmed that Grammy Award-winning Afrofusion star Burna Boy has converted to Islam, igniting widespread reactions across social media.

The development comes after Rahman Jago shared a video clip of the “Last Last” crooner praising Allah — a move that quickly fueled speculation among fans about the singer’s religious status.

Reacting to the viral video, Bashir Ahmad, former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, described Burna Boy as “so happy” and offered prayers for him. “May Allah (SWT) make it so easy for him,” Ahmad wrote.

However, when questioned by a fan about whether Burna Boy had officially embraced Islam, Ahmad clarified that while some of the singer’s associates claimed he had converted, there had been no direct confirmation from the artist himself.

Rahman Jago, however, put the speculation to rest with a firm declaration. “He converted. He is now a Muslim,” he stated, leaving little room for ambiguity.

Burna Boy, born into a Christian family, had earlier hinted at his spiritual journey during a recent podcast appearance, revealing that he had embraced Islam “at some point” in his search for truth.

The Afrofusion icon later reinforced the claim during a livestream conversation with content creator Plaueboymax, where he discussed his beliefs and perspectives on creation.

As of press time, Burna Boy has not released an official written statement confirming the conversion. Nonetheless, the revelation continues to stir conversations among fans and the broader entertainment community.
