Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, on her 60th birthday, describing her as a compassionate leader, devoted wife, and a strong pillar of support to the Ogun State government.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor praised Mrs. Abiodun’s developmental initiatives and commitment to improving the lives of residents, saying her contributions have positively impacted Ogun State.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the celebrant shares a close relationship with his family and commended her enduring support for Governor Dapo Abiodun throughout his administration.
“On behalf of my wife, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I heartily congratulate the Ogun State First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, on her Diamond Jubilee celebration,” he said.
He added that attaining the age of 60 in grace and elegance was worthy of celebration, describing her tenure as First Lady as one marked by notable achievements and unwavering dedication to public service.
Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has paid glowing tribute to former Governor Olusegun Osoba as he marked his 87th birthday, describing him as an outstanding patriot, accomplished journalist, seasoned democrat, and one of Nigeria’s finest political leaders.
Abiodun said Osoba’s journey in journalism, politics, and public service reflects courage, integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and democratic values.
The governor noted that Osoba’s legacy extends beyond his years in office, highlighting his role as a mentor, statesman, and bridge-builder whose influence continues to inspire generations of leaders.
“Today, we celebrate not just the passing of another year in the life of an exceptional leader, but a lifetime of uncommon service, courage, and sacrifice,” Abiodun said.
He added that Osoba distinguished himself both in the newsroom and in public office, where he demonstrated visionary leadership and upheld integrity, constitutional governance, and the rule of law throughout his career.
