South-South Will Gain More Under Tinubu’s Second Term, APC Chieftain Omo-Agege Declares

An All Progressives Congress (APC) leader and South-South Coordinator of the Twenty Million Thumbs for Tinubu (TMT) support group, Jimmy Omo-Agege, has said the South-South region stands to reap significant benefits if President Bola Tinubu secures a second term in office.

The declaration came as the pro-Tinubu group reaffirmed its commitment to delivering electoral victory for the APC across the South-South geopolitical zone ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The resolution was reached following a high-level strategic meeting convened by the leadership of TMT, aimed at strengthening support for President Tinubu and consolidating political structures across the region.

Addressing supporters after the meeting, Omo-Agege reiterated his unwavering commitment to the President’s vision and policies, describing Tinubu’s administration as one that offers substantial opportunities for growth and development in the South-South.

According to him, closer alignment with the Federal Government’s agenda would position the region to benefit more from ongoing reforms and developmental initiatives.

Also speaking, TMT Co-Convener, Prince Emmanuel Odigie, expressed confidence in the leadership team coordinating the group’s activities in the region.

He praised Omo-Agege and other officials for their dedication to the movement, stressing that the organisation possesses a strong grassroots network capable of mobilising widespread support for the President.

“We have total confidence in the capacity of Jimmy Omo-Agege and all the other dedicated leaders driving the TMT agenda in the South-South. By the grace of God and with the support of our grassroots mobilisers, we are prepared to deliver the region for President Tinubu,” Odigie said.

The co-convener also unveiled the group’s two-phase mobilisation strategy, which includes uniting Southern Nigeria behind President Tinubu before expanding operations to Northern Nigeria to build nationwide support.

TMT leaders maintained that continuity in leadership beyond 2027 is essential for sustaining economic reforms and national stability.

The group argued that the Tinubu administration’s economic policies and structural reforms are beginning to produce positive outcomes and urged stakeholders, community leaders, and grassroots supporters across the South-South to rally behind efforts to sustain the administration’s programmes.

According to the organisation, broad-based support for the President’s re-election bid would help consolidate ongoing reforms and accelerate national development.
