The General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over the country’s worsening insecurity and economic hardship, urging the government to take immediate action.
Speaking during a sermon to his congregation, Oyedepo expressed concern over the persistent attacks and killings across Nigeria, accusing the government of failing to respond decisively to the growing security challenges.
The renowned cleric warned that many Nigerians who have endured years of hardship and insecurity may soon lose patience if urgent steps are not taken to address the situation.
He also condemned those responsible for the killings of innocent citizens, insisting that victims should not be expected to sympathise with perpetrators of violent crimes.
“The president needs to act now and stop pretending. You can’t slaughter members of my family and expect me to pray for you. I will pray against you and your household,” Oyedepo said.
He added, “The government is pretending like they don’t know what to do. I have been quiet for a long time, but the bubble is about to burst.”
Oyedepo further accused the government of failing to demonstrate the urgency required to tackle the nation’s security crisis, stressing that stronger leadership is needed to protect lives, restore public confidence and address the country’s economic difficulties.
