Popular TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, recently turned to his millions of fans for advice on whether he should smoke before going live on social media, following a suggestion from fellow content creator and singer Carter Efe.
During a recent livestream, the 20-year-old entertainer revealed that Carter Efe had advised him to smoke to boost his energy during streams.
“Carter Efe told me to start smoking so that I can get high energy. He told me he and his crew smoke before going on livestreams,” Peller said, seeking his fans’ opinions on the idea.
Most viewers advised against the practice, warning that smoking can be addictive and have serious health consequences. It remains unclear whether Peller will follow Carter Efe’s advice or heed his fans’ warnings.
Carter Efe has neither confirmed nor denied Peller’s claims, but the duo’s close friendship is well known.
Earlier this year, Nigerian social media was abuzz when Carter Efe turned a high-energy Twitch subathon into a chaotic spectacle at Peller’s Lagos studio.
On January 7, during the live subathon, Carter Efe promised to smash equipment each time a subscription milestone was reached.
As subscriptions approached 150,000, he reportedly destroyed studio items worth up to N8 million, including a television, frames, and chairs. The incident quickly went viral on X, cementing the duo’s reputation for high-octane entertainment.
Peller’s latest livestream query has once again sparked debates on the balance between content creativity, fan engagement, and personal health.
