President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his leadership and the development recorded in the state since he assumed office.
In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Mbah as a committed leader whose administration has delivered visible progress across key sectors of governance in the state over the past two years.
Tinubu commended the governor’s dedication to progressive governance and constitutional democracy, noting that his administration has been marked by transformational projects and programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents.
According to the President, Mbah’s style of governance reflects a clear vision anchored on service, innovation and inclusive development.
“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” Tinubu stated.
The President also praised the governor’s collaborative approach to governance, particularly his engagement with other leaders in the Southeast Nigeria.
He noted that Mbah’s inclusive leadership style and partnerships with fellow governors in the region are helping to reposition the Southeast for economic and political transformation.
Before venturing into politics, Mbah built a successful career in the private sector, particularly in the oil and gas industry, before emerging as governor of Enugu State in 2023.
Tinubu added that the governor’s professional background and leadership experience have played a significant role in driving the reforms and development initiatives currently underway in the state.
The President concluded his message by wishing Mbah good health, wisdom and renewed strength as he continues to lead Enugu State, expressing confidence that the governor will sustain efforts aimed at advancing development and improving the welfare of the people.
