President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday welcomed former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a closed-door meeting that has sparked public curiosity across the country.
While the agenda of the high-level discussion remains undisclosed, the encounter between the current Nigerian leader and his predecessor has drawn attention in political circles.
Goodluck Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015, is widely remembered for making history in 2015 when he conceded defeat in the presidential election to Muhammadu Buhari. That moment marked the first time a sitting Nigerian president peacefully transferred power after losing a re-election bid.
