“Why I Won’t Post My Medical Results” Blessing CEO Opens Up on Cancer Disclosure

Media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has explained her decision not to share evidence of her stage four breast cancer diagnosis on social media, insisting that such medical details would be misunderstood by the general public.

In a video message addressing growing skepticism, she stated that only qualified medical professionals can properly interpret her test results, noting that her close associates have already sought expert opinions, including consultations with doctors abroad.

“I can’t put my result on social media because a lot of you cannot make meaning out of it. Only medical doctors can,” she said.

She added that she remains open to sharing the documents privately with credible individuals if necessary, stressing that she does not require multiple interpretations from unqualified sources.

Responding to claims that her disclosure was aimed at soliciting funds, Blessing CEO clarified that her intention was to be transparent about her health struggles, not to seek financial assistance.

“The goal was to be vulnerable, not to beg Nigerians for money. I am a very hardworking woman,” she said.

According to her, the decision to go public came after emotional pressure and encouragement from close friends who believed she should not face the situation alone.

She also expressed appreciation for the support she has received from her followers, describing their contributions—no matter how small—as deeply meaningful.

“Money is coming in trickles, bit by bit, and that is the sweetest thing about it. People do not have, but they want to be part of the blessing,” she said.

Blessing CEO’s remarks come amid widespread reactions to her earlier revelation about battling advanced breast cancer, a disclosure that has sparked both sympathy and debate online.
