The once rosy relationship between Ogun PDP financier, Sen Buruji Kashamu and Federal lawmaker, Hon Ladi Adebutu, son of the billionaire businessman, Chief Keshinton Adebutu has it the rocks, Ijebu News Xtra magazine can reliably inform.
It was scooped that the governorship ambition of Ladi Adebutu, who is presently a member of the House of Representatives on Peoples Democratic Party platform, may have caused the present disaffection between the two leaders.
Ijebu News Xtra magazine further gathered that Ladi has also ditched Omoilu Foundation owned by Sen Buruji Kashamu, and widely tipped as the backbone of PDP in Ogun state.
Hon Adebutu, is said to be banking on his father’s huge fortune to bankroll his governorship ambition.
Sources also confirmed that former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who is also locked horn with Kashamu has reportedly agreed with Ladi’s father, Chief Kessignton Adebutu to use his political structure to champion Ladi’s ambition.
Though, the Adebutus are known to be from Iperu, in Remo area of the state, but it was gathered that Ladi would be flying his ticket from Odogbolu, since the zoning formula won’t favour Iperu Remo in 2019.
Some political observers however believed that Ladi, despite his present status as the Chairman, House Committee on Rural Development is not polished and does not possess outstanding track record to lead a sophisticated state like Ogun.
Ijebu News Xtra magazine further scooped that while OGD and Ladi are perfecting the best way out of the political logjam, Buruji who presently controls the PDP structure in Ogun state has also vowed to frustrate and thereafter rock Ladi’s governorship boat.
