Nigerian music icon Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has ruled out any possibility of reuniting with his former group, Plantashun Boiz, declaring that he has moved on from that chapter of his career.

The veteran singer made this known during a recent radio interview with media personality Steve Onu, as part of activities marking his 25th anniversary in the music industry.

Speaking on whether fans should expect a reunion of the iconic trio, 2Baba stated clearly that while he holds no grudges against his former bandmates, he is not interested in returning.

“Other members of the group can go ahead, but as for me, I’m not interested. I have no beef with anyone, but as for me, it’s not going to happen,” he said.

The group, which also featured Blackface and Faze, rose to prominence in the early 2000s with hit songs that helped shape Nigeria’s modern Afropop sound before eventually going their separate ways.

Over the years, fans have repeatedly called for a reunion, but 2Baba’s latest remarks appear to put such hopes to rest.

Instead, the award-winning artiste is focused on his solo career and legacy projects, recently marking 25 years on stage with a special anniversary concert—further solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s most enduring and respected performers.
