One of Nigeria’s celebrated broadcasters, Bimbo Oloyede is bereaved. She lost her elder brother, Eddy Robert to death a couple of weeks back. Sources disclosed to our source that Bimbo, who is a descendant of the Herbert Macaulay family; and a leading newscaster at Channels Television, was really shattered by her brother’s death.
Eddy Roberts attended Christ the King College (CKC) Onitsha and Oxford University, England. He died at age 74 in Onitsha, the birthplace of his late mother.
His late father was Mr Melvin Roberts, a Deputy Inspector General of Police of Sierra Leonean/Lagosian descent. The late Eddy Roberts retired to his farm in Ilado Beach area of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government in Lagos State where he ran a successful poultry business with his son, Victor.
