A Nigerian couple, Segun and Kemi Omotinugbon, has stirred widespread emotions after testifying about the birth of their first child nearly three decades after marriage.
The emotional testimony was delivered during the Power Must Change Hands service at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) on Saturday, February 7, 2026, and has since gone viral across social media platforms.
In the trending video, Mrs. Omotinugbon recounted how the couple got married in July 1994 and endured years of waiting, prayers and medical interventions while trusting God for the fruit of the womb.
As she narrated their journey, her husband was visibly overcome with emotion, breaking down in tears as members of the congregation reacted with applause and prayers.
According to her, the couple explored several medical options, including two unsuccessful in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedures, before she eventually conceived in May 2024.
“We got married in 1994, July precisely. Since then, we have been believing God for the fruit of the womb. It was a challenging journey, but God manifested Himself after all. We went through treatments, including two failed IVFs,” she said.
She disclosed that the church’s General Overseer stood by them through years of prayers, counselling and encouragement.
Mrs. Omotinugbon revealed that she conceived at the age of 56 and welcomed her baby in January 2025, shortly before her 57th birthday.
“The journey was one of pain, tears and occasional joy. Each time I saw others testify, I asked God, ‘When will I testify?’ You have not called me or this home to shame — and God did it,” she said.
She also recalled sustaining a leg injury during the waiting period but said her faith never wavered.
“There was a time I had an attack on my leg, and I told God I would still need this leg to carry pregnancy. And God helped me,” she added.
The testimony continues to trend online, attracting thousands of congratulatory messages, prayers and emotional reactions, with many Nigerians describing the story as deeply inspiring, faith-strengthening and a testament to perseverance and hope.
