APC Primary: Tinubu Defeats Rival in Oyo with Landslide Victory

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Oyo State after securing 142,754 votes.

The result was announced by former Senate Leader and APC chieftain, Teslim Folarin, who served as the state coordinator and returning officer for the 2026 APC presidential primaries in the state.

According to the official figures released, Tinubu defeated fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo, who garnered 929 votes in the exercise.

The outcome marked a decisive win for the President, reflecting strong support from APC members across the state.

Speaking after the announcement, Folarin credited Tinubu’s overwhelming victory to the administration’s ongoing reforms and policies, which he said have gained widespread acceptance among party faithful and the general public.

The APC presidential primary attracted party members from wards across all 33 local government areas of Oyo State, with a large turnout recorded during the voting process.
